CHRIST CHURCH
WHAT WE BELIEVE
There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to one hope when you were called – one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
– Ephesians 4: 4-6
WHO WE ARE
Christ Community Church is an old and a new church. Though the church officially began as the Providence Church of Christ in 1985, in 2004 we pressed the “restart” button. Since then we have deliberately tried to learn from our past and live out our new vision and purpose which we discovered together through a study of God’s Word and a series of congregational gatherings.
Our roots can be found in the American Restoration Movement and we continue to connect with other like-minded churches that share this heritage including the Churches of Christ and Independent Christian Churches. We also work beside many other churches in the region from various denominations who share our desire to bring the gospel to RI and southeastern MA.
Though we are far from perfect, we rely and trust upon the perfect love of Jesus and desire to share this love with other imperfect people everywhere. We hope you will consider joining us on our journey of faith.

At Christ Community Church, we believe that every member of the body of Christ is a minister and is called by God to use their gifts to build up the Church. Our ministry team comprised of ministers, elders, and an administrator, exists to serve God’s people in their expression of love for God and our neighbors. (Matthew 22:37-40, 1 Peter 4:10-16, Ephesians 4:11-13, 1 Peter 5:1-4).
